The ophthalmology department at the University Medical Center of King Abdullah Medical City which is managed by Dr Sulaiman Al Habib Medical Group, is a well reputed world class facility in Kingdom of Bahrain. Ophthalmology consultants at the eye department are highly qualified and internationally trained with wide experience in their field. Dr Nada Al Yousuf, the chairperson, is specialized in Cornea and refractive surgery .Dr Mohammed Naeem Naser is a consultant vitreo-retinal surgeon. The eye department is equipped with cutting edge technology and continuous update and developments. The consultants are trained and qualified to cover all major subspecialties in eye disease. The anterior segment, Cornea as well as the medical and surgical care of vitreous and retinal problems. The eye department comprises ophthalmic outpatient specialized clinics, a comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic unit and lasik Unit. In addition, a high standard operating theatre equipped with an operating microscope and the most recent phacoemulsification machine for cataract surgery.
